We had a stunning gig at Fort Regent in Jersey and we are booked back there next September. While we were there Owen, Geoff, and Tony from Jersey Harley Davidson lent us one of their bikes for the show, as we had to leave Betty at home.
I showed up to the shop only having spoken briefly to Geoff who was not there and not knowing anyone else I introduced myself and Owen. After a few pleasantries he pointed to a Screamin’ Eagle Electra-Glide and asked if that would be o.k? Stupid Question...
As I was about to ask him about how we would get the bike to the venue he gave me the keys. He saw that I did not have a helmet so he opened a brand new box to give me a helmet that would fit my big head.
At first I hated the way the Electra glide rode. It’s understandable because you love your own so much. I must admit that it did boogie off the line and more than a few times it got my attention. When I got it to the venue it looked beautiful on the stage.
After the show the Jersey Harley boys met us at our signing and invited me and the girls to have a ride around the island. Owen let me keep the Electra-glide overnight and we arranged to meet the next day. Riding Harley around Jersey was the last thing I expected to be doing that day; It was awesome.

This is Owen, the owner of Jersey Harley. During the ride Owen was riding a Suzuki VStrom and when we saw him later he was tooling around on a brand new and gleaming DUCATI.

This is Helen and Tony stopping for a photo op. Helen was so taken with the whole Harley vibe of “Stylin’ at 40” (Miles per Hour) that she exclaimed “I am so getting one of them.” Unfortunately, Mick, her husband is too much of a fan of suicide rockets to ever consider a Fat Boy.
